Wedding
We hope you can join us but we fully understand if you can only be there in spirit!
It won't be fancy but it will be fun!
Transportation:
If you are planning on flying, the Philadelphia Airport is the closest (PHL), and if you are feeling adventuresome you can take the train from PHL to Wilmington. Uber is also available as need be.
Hotel:
After some deliberation, we decided that we didn't want to tell you where to stay. So we will tell you that we will be staying at the Westin Wilmington. The current room rate is $132/night but you may be able to find it cheaper on a travel website additionally, if you want to use your hotel points there are plenty of other hotels nearby like: The DoubleTree ($124/night) or Hotel DuPont ($229/night).
Attire:
This will be a casual affair! Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outside in a grass amphitheater. Ladies may prefer a wedge shoe. Please refer to the list below for acceptable attire:

After Party:
We are likely hitting up Iron Hill Brewery or the Westin hotel bar after the wedding for the after party - however Delaware Law prohibits the sale of alcohol after 1:00 AM, but that's just the sale, so if you buy 3 drinks at 12:45 AM - and drink until 2:30 AM, that is legal. We'll make an announcement at the end of the reception!
Things to do while you're in town:
- Philly is only 30 minutes away, history, cheese steaks, It's Always Sunny Tour, Mutter Museum
- Tax Free Shopping and Outlets
- DogFish Head Brewery and Pub is 1 hour and 30 mins away but worth the trip - reservations are required for the Tour of the Brewery
- Iron Hill Brewery (Ben and I recommend the Philly Cheese Steak Egg Rolls!)
- Brandywine Zoo
- Nemours Mansion
